Program Description:
ISEP Direct Czech Republic
  • Cathedrals, castles, an historic town center—step into Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, and explore countless cafés, beautiful architecture, and a thriving art scene. Centrally located and a ton of fun, you’ll love this quirky, youthful college town!
  • Intern in this hub for innovation, technology, and the arts! Past interns have worked for media companies, sports teams, IT start-ups, NGOs, research labs, and entrepreneurial hubs.
  • As an intern, you’ll receive additional support and guidance from Program Director Michael Elavsky, PhD. He’ll get you connected with a great internship and prepare you for a global career.
Walkable and bikeable, Brno is a relaxed college town with lively town squares, farmer’s markets, outdoor dining, cute courtyards, breweries, pubs, and coffee shops. Great museums, art galleries, historic architecture, and city parks make it easy to stay busy. Grab a bike or take the tram from campus to your internship site.

Intern with local company or organization as part of the CzechMates program and gain valuable global experience! Pair the 200 hour for-credit internship with coursework at Masaryk University and an American-style class dedicated to preparing and guiding you through the internship experience. Internships are available with NGOs, international organizations, media companies, sports teams, IT start-ups, public administration offices, research labs, and entrepreneurial hubs. Engage in meaningful work experience and develop intercultural communication in a real-world professional setting. This program is a great fit to prepare for a career in advertising, public relations, strategic communication, journalism, social justice, sports communication, business, marketing, international relations, or policy.

What We Love About Brno
Brno is a classic European college town—affordable, fun, beautiful, and well-connected to the rest of Europe. It’s a great base for a semester because you can take classes you need and stay busy during the week and travel easily on the weekends!
