Program cost:  UNCC application fee due when submitting the application. Students pay all program costs directly to UNCC.

About Santander:


Santander (220,000), located in northern Spain, offers an extraordinary landscape on the shores of the Bay of Biscay and has been described as Spain's "most elegant city." While the climate throughout much of the year is rainy, Santander is full of beauty with lush green trees and rolling green hills surrounding the city.


Academic Program:

2 Spanish Grammar courses are compulsory. One is the only course taught in the first month of the program and the other is taught in the second part of the program with the elective courses.
Additionally, students can choose from 3 electives to complement their Spanish language study. Course descriptions are listed below.

Intensive Spanish Grammar (6 credit hours)
Introduction to Spanish Literature (3 credit hours)
History of Spain (3 credit hours)
Spanish Art and Geography (3 credit hours)


Housing options:

Participants will be housed in carefully-selected homestays located within easy access (either by foot or by city bus) to the Universidad, to downtown, and to the beaches. Three daily meals and laundry service are included in the price of the program.
