Did you feel welcome in your host country/university?

I felt very welcomed. The university held orientation classes at the beginning of the semester and provided a student mentor for small groups of students studying in the same faculty.

Is there anything you wish you had known before the program began?

There were problems occurring with the Weboodi course system used by my host university which would display classes that were nonexistent or false information about certain courses. This was the only problem that I encountered.

Would you recommend the program to future students?

I would highly recommend this program to future students. I learned an incredible amount about myself, the world, and international business. ESN was a fantastic way to meet fellow students and easily plan trips to not only other areas of Finland, but neighboring countries as well.

Favorite Experience

My favorite part of the program was seeing how our culture differed from those in Europe. Meeting students from all over the world has truly changed my perspective on countries outside of the US for life.
